Advanced Satellite takes pride in being the first company to produce high-quality satellite posters soon after Landsat 4 was launched in the early 1980s. We have continued to publish satellite imagery of the Pacific Northwest for the last 30 years. Our image maps are popular with tourists, boaters, map afficionados, teachers and the public at large. HOW LANDSAT SATELLITE WORKS
We use Landsat satellite imagery in our products. Landsat orbits the earth every 100 minutes or so at an altitude of 710 km and captures a continuous strip of imagery as it crosses over the Earth's surface. (It does not "take pictures" like a camera.) The imagery is downlinked to ground stations strategically located at various locations around the globe where high-speed computers turn it into recognizable imagery. At Advanced Satellite we further refine the images to create beautifully coloured satellite images.
We supply murals as decorative panels for offices, commercial buildings and even ships. Depending on the image, murals can be relatively small (say, 3 feet by 5 feet) or quite large (say, 6 feet by 12 feet). In full color, the effect is strking and a sure attention-getter. To learn more about murals, click on the MURALS AND PRINTS tab above.
Satelite imagery and image maps can be used to adorn textbook covers, corporate brochures, real estate magazines, technical articles or digitalPowerPoint presentations. To find out more, click on the SUBLICENSING tab at the top of the screen.
